Porsche 911 Carrera 2011 will see a facelift, although the Porsche 911 shape will remain intact. Enough newness will be added, in fact — both inside and out — the 2011 model will be designated the Porsche 998. Prototypes have been seen with heavily disguised tail sections, in an attempt to hide an all-new version of the 911 Carrera’s speed-activated wing.

No significant changes in the engine department: Porsche 911 Carrera 2011 will still be powered by a flat-6, with both rear- and all-wheel-drive models. The base Carrera might see a modest increase to about 360 bhp, while the S model could push close to 400 bhp. Increased use of aluminum will shed pounds off the 911, helping both its sports-car performance and fuel mileage.
